Decking boards
All products go into drying chambers after sawing. After this process, the lumber has a moisture content of less than 18%, which guarantees dimensional stability, shape and affects the quality of the planing processing. The final quality grading takes place on the planing line. In addition to its decorative effect, the grooving also has an anti-slip function. Planks and joists are impregnated using the pressure-vacuum method. The impregnation protects the wood against fungi and insects and gives it a colour according to the client’s needs (brown or green). Also available without impregnation.

Product advantages
The numerous advantages of wood MAKE that its popularity as a construction or finishing material is constantly growing. Today, it is obvious that there is no more natural and human-friendly material than wood. It is ecological, natural, renewable and extremely durable.
On top of that, it is naturally warm and pleasant to the touch and easy to care for. A terrace made of Kronobuild decking boards helps to keep the house and property clean. If you dream of a nice decoration for your terrace, garden or allotment – a wooden terrace will certainly meet these expectations. The wood in the production process of Kronobuild decking boards has been properly prepared for long-term and safe use in extremely variable weather conditions – heat in summer and frost in winter. The boards and beams are impregnated in pressure chambers by injecting a special ecological preparation deep into the wood. This guarantees effective protection against atmospheric agents as well as harmful fungal and insect activity. The resulting properties of the wood used for the construction of the terrace, when used and cared for in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, will allow you to enjoy a beautiful, safe and friendly structure for many years.

Assembly preparation
When starting work, there is a need to prepare not only Kronobuild decking boards, joists and accessories, but also the necessary tools (e.g. drill with wood drills, screwdriver or electric screwdriver, handsaw, hammer, angle iron, spirit level, sandpaper, carpenter’s pencil and wedges).
The Kronobuild decking boards on offer are used outdoors, and when installed indoors, care should be taken to ensure proper ventilation.
Before installing the boards, they need to be carefully examined and arranged to allow for minor colour differences. It is also advisable to prepare wedges to leave gaps of 5 to 10 mm between the individual boards. This will allow for free natural movement of the working wood, depending on weather conditions. It is essential to leave a gap (expansion gap) of approx. 10 mm at permanent structural elements such as building walls or balcony posts. This avoids the hassle and necessity of re-assembling faulty boards pushing against the wall, for example.
